The Full Story
The Next Mission was founded in response to a widespread need among reintegrating veterans who often find that existing programs fail to fully address their challenges. After interviewing thousands and hiring hundreds of veterans, founder KC Newton—a veteran himself—recognized a common thread: the loss of purpose that too often follows military service. Drawing from his own journey and the stories of those he served alongside, KC envisioned an organization that could help restore that deep sense of mission in civilian life. The Next Mission is built on the understanding that, while the uniform may come off, the need for meaningful direction never does. Through shared service, global impact, and the inner work of self-discovery, The Next Mission offers veterans a new kind of “suit of armor”—one forged not for combat, but for life, leadership, and purpose beyond the military.
A Note from the founder
"I came into this world with nothing, and I will leave this world with nothing. In between those two certain events, I borrow and pass along gifts that I hope will enrich those around me. I’ve attained academic success, graduating from the Air Force Academy and later the University of Maryland. I was blessed with parental successes by providing four beautiful souls with all the wisdom I had in the times it was needed. I’ve attained professional success in my service in the military and later as the CEO at OMNI Consulting Solutions. I’ve stumbled and I’ve fallen many times, but my inner strength always seeks 'The Next Mission'. I’m honored to help others discover and find theirs".
